  • The Wisdom of the Journey

    Saturday, June 27, 2026 9:30-11:30 am

    Join Be the Source for a special morning with Laura, the Foster Parent Partner, as she shares her journey as a child welfare caregiver and signs copies of her new book, First Time Fostering. Attendees will also hear from local foster parent author Trish Iiams and enjoy free breakfast, giveaways, and children’s activities provided by Cobbled Streets.

    This event is FREE and open to the public! CE credits will also be earned.

    Bright Spot is a chance for families to connect, take a breather, and have fun! Open to foster/kinship/adoptive children and their siblings, ages 6 weeks and up. Come for a time of connection with other parents then leave your kids with trauma trained volunteers, knowing they’re in safe and caring hands. Whether you need to run errands, enjoy a date, or simply recharge- we’re here to support you. Teens will enjoy a special off-site activity planned just for them.

    Filled Local was a special two-day gathering created just for foster, adoptive, and kinship moms designed to help them feel seen, supported, and refreshed.

    The Haven Impact was able to award three scholarships to moms who recently received a care package from us. Thank you to the generous donors who made this possible! Filled is sponsored by The Filled Gathering, a national initiative by Foster the Family.

  • Bright Spot

    Saturday, April 11, 2026 9 am - Noon

    Bright Spot is a chance for families to connect, take a breather, and have fun! Open to foster/kinship/adoptive children and their siblings, ages 6 weeks and up.

    Our parent mixer was hosted by Project 1.27 for a time of connection with others who understand their journey. Kids stayed with trauma trained volunteers and got to enjoy a presentation by Mad Science while teens went offsite to Inks and Drinks to make terrariums. Lunch was graciously provided by Chick-Fil-A.

    We strive to offer these events every quarter.

    Crafting & Coffee Fundraiser

    Saturday, October 4, 2025 10 am - Noon

    What a great time we had crafting, drinking yummy coffee, and indulging in delicious homemade treats with sweet friends!

    A total of 18 pairs of shoes were donated and we raised $2,507! Thanks to everyone who came and supported us! Special thanks to our sponsors: Sherwood Financial Partners, The Boundy Family Charitable Fund, The Oaks Family Charitable Fund, Gallery on the Go, and Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters.
