Our Story.
Our story began in early 2022 in the Arvada area, when a small team recognized an unmet need in the foster care community: the first days after a new placement can feel overwhelming, and families often need immediate support and a community they can rely on. At that time, the ministry was known as Haven Clothing Company and operated out of YWAM Denver.
In January 2023, the Colorado work was officially transferred to Harbor Church so the local ministry could continue to grow with stable community support and oversight. During this transition, the Colorado program became known as Haven Clothing Denver.
Later that year, the organization was approved as an independent 501(c)(3), marking an important step toward becoming a stand-alone nonprofit dedicated to serving foster and kinship families in Colorado.
As the need grew, so did our capacity. At the end of 2024, we moved into a bigger, brighter space in Westminster, allowing us to serve more families across the Denver metro area.
In April 2025, Haven Clothing Denver officially rebranded as The Haven Impact to better reflect the full scope of what we provide: care packages for children, meals for families, and ongoing encouragement and connection for foster parents. The new name and logo also reflect the ripple effect this support has on children and families over time.
In June 2025, The Haven Impact received the Children’s Champion Award from the Triad Early Childhood Council. We are honored by this recognition and see it as a reflection of the foster parents who keep saying yes, the caseworkers who serve tirelessly, and the community members who make this work possible.
In December 2025, The Haven Impact took another important step in independence and governance with the establishment of its Board of Directors, helping strengthen the organization’s leadership, accountability, and long-term vision.
Today, The Haven Impact serves foster and kinship families throughout the Denver metro area by providing practical support, encouragement, and connection during times of transition. We step in quickly with care packages, meals, and resources in the early days of placement, and we also continue encouraging families through helpful resources, community connection opportunities, scholarships to select events, and gatherings designed to remind foster parents they are not alone.
As we look ahead, our hope is to continue growing our reach, deepening community partnerships, and ensuring that more children and caregivers feel seen, supported, and not alone.

Important Clarity:The Haven Impact is an independent Colorado nonprofit formerly known as Haven Clothing Denver. While our organization originally operated under the Haven Clothing Company name, that name is no longer associated with our work. Any other organizations using that name are separate and not affiliated with The Haven Impact.
